Sixth and seventh grade students should know and be able to demonstrate the reading and study skills listed below.  All core content teachers share the responsibility of the direct instruction of reading skills by teaching a Reading to Learn class.  All teachers also share the responsibility of reinforcing the reading skills in their content area classes.
